GLOW House Malvern

Central Park Gardens Malvern, Melbourne,, Australia, 2025

Drawing from the theme — a deconstructed fairground of surreal worlds — the Glow House reimagines Central Park Gardens’ architectural history through the deconstruction of the Edwardian, Federation,
Victorian, and Queen Anne styles dominant in the area. Abstracted roofs and bay windows infilled with fabric are illuminated to create a kaleidoscope of light and colour giving the visitor an immersive pavilion
that inspires wonder and playful exploration.
The Glow House is constructed from off-the-shelf scaffolding with custom infill panels that are illuminated with a dynamic lighting system bathing the space and surrounds in shifting hues synchronized to music, creating a vibrant, ever-changing atmosphere. Children can play among the colours, while adults find a space to pause and reflect. The fabric panels double as projection surfaces, enabling storytelling and programming for unique experiences.
The Glow House is designed to sit lightly and generate no waste: its scaffolding and lighting systems are fully demountable, while the fabric panels are easily detached for re-use.
