Leanne Zilka, principal of ZILKA Studio, is an architect who has trained and studied in Sydney, Boston and Melbourne. She is currently a practicing architect in Melbourne as well as an academic in architecture at RMIT University, recently receiving her PhD from RMIT University.

ZILKA Studio established in 2005, is a practice that listens carefully to the client needs and incorporates this with the experience and understanding around changing needs over time. Issues of space, sun/shade, relationship to the exterior, and materials are approached in a collaborative way where design is the key driver in decisions around site, program and use.

The practice works across architecture, interior design and textile design building a network of passionate, expert professionals. We have extensive experience across a range of scales from furniture to housing to University teaching and learning spaces.
