Wayfinding

RMIT school of Fashion,  Brunswick collaboration with Paul Morgan Architects

The Wayfinding project came out of a continuing collaboration with Paul Morgan Architects www.paulmorganarchitects.com at the RMIT Brunswick Campus. The renovation of a restrictive set of spaces that the fashion school had inherited needed to be altered to accommodate this dynamic discipline as well as provide communication to students around the use of spaces. The long corridors allowed us to play with anamorphs inspired by Felice Varini who has done many installations that work on visual illusion. By running a pattern through parametric model we are able to compress and expand space as students orientate themselves from the stair to the classroom and back down the stairs again.
